Uni-Assist (Arbeits- und Servicestelle für internationale Studienbewerbungen) checks foreign school-leaving certificates and degrees for equivalency, then forwards the file to the target university. Some universities also request a Vorprüfungsdokumentation (VPD).
Why it's needed
For most master's programs, Uni-Assist is the only channel to apply.
