Academic verification mandatory for Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese applicants to German universities.

The Akademische Prüfstelle (APS) at the German Embassy verifies that your academic documents are genuine and your degree is university-entry-qualifying in Germany. Since November 2022 APS is mandatory for Indian applicants to German universities and for the D-visa.
Why it's needed
German universities and the embassy will not process your file without a valid APS certificate.
Who requires this
All Indian applicants (bachelor's, master's, PhD) applying to German universities. Some scholarships also require APS.
- Indian nationality
- Completed or ongoing 10+2 and higher education
- Documents in English or officially translated

- Bachelor's degree, transcripts (all semesters), medium-of-instruction letter
- Master's degree and transcripts (if applying for PhD)
- Signed APS application form
- Return DHL courier waybill
